Time Trial

Specifically for the time trial, this one has an upright seat angle, shallow head with short rake for increased trail, low bottom bracket for stability and control, short chain stays. The design is based on a level top tube but with a head tube shortened 2" to allow better positioning with extended aero bars. As a result the top tube slopes down from the seat cluster to the shortened head tube

Construction

  • TIG welded oversized steel or aluminum
  • reinforcing rings on head tube
  • Breeze-In Drop outs w/o eye
  • 1.5" od cromoly 68 mm bb shell
  • Brazed on seat collar for campy/sugino style seat pin w/ reinforced slot
  • Seat stays attached below the seat cluster. (shortens the length of the seat stays a little and I like the look.)
  • 130mm rear spacing
  • 43mm brake reach
  • 700c
  • 1" headset
  • Built to fit the fork of your choice

Standard braze ons

  • 2 waterbottle mounts
  • split stops on top tube 7 o'clock
  • lever bosses or sti stops
  • split stop under chain stay.

Note, Many people option for aero tubing in these frames. I have Easton with aero st, dt, & ss, TrueTemperVelo set w/aero dt,st,& ss, or any Columbus set is available with an aero down tube
